Exclamation Forum hack: bug reports

It looks like the forums are finally clear - AVG isn't flagging up any issues, and Google has now cleared the site.

If you do experience any problems with virus warnings, please empty your browser cache and then reload - it may be the case that your browser has cached an old infected file.

It appears a malicious third party was able to insert code into some of the site's Javascript files (which are normally cached), which then allowed an iframe to an attack site to display in the template and try to infect member machines.

I've now put up an extra layer of security on the server to help prevent malicious intrusions, so hopefully this will minimise the chances of this happening again.

However, I have turned off the WYSIWYG post editor for the time being as it's still not functioning properly, but I'm getting some recent updates direct from vbulletin which should address that.

In the meantime, hopefully that means everything is clear for the meantime, bug if you have any feedback on bugs or potential exploits, you are welcome to post it here.

Here's hoping we're back to normal again...

Yeah me too. Retolop.cz.cc. Exploit kit variant activity 3

Cleared cache in firefox, chrome and IE by the way. Still getting trojan warning. Was ok earlier today though.
