Hi all, The forum will not let me hit thanks all i get is,

cable man, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

is it just me ??????????????

Brian has been forced to disable some forum features, temporarily, due to the continuing attacks.
Hopefully things will be sorted out soon.

Indeed, as Mickha says, some features are disabled to be on the safe side for the moment, but I'm expecting things to return to normal very soon.

i just tried hitting thanks and it did the same as you described but instead of saying cable man it said bonghitt

It's just a random thing - send a script to crwl the internet testing for specific types of vulernabilitiies. When they find a match, they automatically try to use the exploit to either upload news files to the server, or else modify existing files on there - with the general aim of making money through it one way or another (ie, redirecting visitors, installing malware etc).

It should be available for all members, it's a forum feature not something that's added on an individual basis.
Have you cleared your browsers cache, of everything?
Which browser are you using?
