You should set your player aspect ratio to 4:3 for watching movies in a full screen..!!

imao..

Really, I don't think downloading is the problem, well part of the problem...it is piracy after all and illegal.

However, how are you playing the movie?

What you will find is when you start to fiddle with the aspect ratio, characters, scenes will look stretched or big... It will not look right.

If your playing the movie through your tv check aspect ratio setup, if through the pc then check the settings on the program...

Really no need to download community packs, Half the stuff they include you dont need and potentially it will feck your codecs up too.

Install MPC
Instal halli media splitter

Those are really the only things you need.

ANything else is BS

Thumbs up Re: down loading films

I have been using VLC player and K lite codec pack and that is only because I do encoding / conversions alot of the times.

Otherwise you have no need to use anything and VLC alone does the job!

Torrents are a thing of the past now and unless you have a seed box then you can benefit from it.

Downloading from public trackers is a pain and can be slow alot of the times, not to mention the amount of Fake stuff that is posted.

newsgroups can be just as bad as torrents, the lesser of 2 evils i'll agree. there are alot of fake files and spy/malware kicking around on newsgroups also. as well as speeds being throttled by both the newsgroup and isp. dont be fooled when your speeds slow down on newsgroups and they tell you its your isp throttling speeds at peak periods as its been proved to be bull**** excuses due to the newsgroup being overloaded!!!

Convert the movies in the screen ratio you like using video converter software.
