Been viewing a few photos and listening to a bit of music via usb on my starview 6 box..... but why should I be able to view a movie through this method??? It dosent seem to let me do it!!! Any ideas anyone??

you can only watch a movie that has been recorded by the sv7 because that is the only format it supports, to my knowledge it doesn't support divx, avi or mpeg4

Well I did record something of my starview 6 box, but it would not let me watch it on my starview 6 box, but it did let me watch it on my laptop...

certain formats will play flawlessly on the sv from a usb stick.... but a lot dont.
i download movies then usb stick them and play them through the box itself or the homeserver and if that fails i use a pc hooked up to the plasma. be nice if there was one format for every movie out there and that every player would play that one format but thats not to be. google for starview movie format and you should be enlightened regards dave

The video format has always been a problem with movie format, particularly the frame rate. In the UK we use 50Hz (25 fps), in the USA, they use 60Hz (29/30fps) with movies often 23fps. The UK boxes often do not accept anything other than 25fps and many often only accept mpeg2, not .avi.
