hi all can anyone tell me how to do a rescan on a 500s plz as im am new to this

Certainly... should be something along this lines:

menu

setup or system setup (might be called something along this lines).. cant remember top of my head but when you go into the menu you will see the option below:

Service searching

Select the Satellite you want to scan.. i.e 28.2E (UK)

And then press the Green button to scan... Just make sure the FTA box is not checked.. otherwise it will only scan for free to air channels.

The only "problem" with scanning is you have to sort them afterwards. Have you considered dowloading a bouquet and editing to suit your needs/preference?

You get bouquets that match the channel numbers of a provider.

ty for the replys got all the chans but for some reason my box reebots maybe 2-3 times a day what causes this to happen is there a setting i need to edit ?

its over heating thats why, try leaving it away from everything, and out where the air can circulate.

ok u was right i had another box sat in the top of it blocckin the airvents ill see how it goes now

Do a manual scan and you will get it back. you wont just lose a channel just like that unless the it has stopped broadcasting.
