Morning all

My friend tried to flash his SV7 box last night but to no avail. I talked him through the instructions, he did all of them, did the 1819 on SS1 but he can only get freeview channels. It's says not connected at the bottom of the info page.

Any ideas?

there seems to be problems with new boxes accepting the firmware my suggestion is go back to the begining and instal {carlin 1.04} then work up from there to the next and so on

AFAIK yes jimbo. Does he need to be connected to the net when he does the autosearch or not? Can't remember what I did

He's using a NTL super hub thingy if that's any clue as to why it won't work.

have you got the new download on the box,if so first of all turn your starview off as well as your modem and the router.Then turn your modem on and wait 2 mins,then switch your router on and wait 2 mins.When you have done this turn your starview on.If you have not done a factory reset do one now,after that go to sp1 and you will see a blank screen.Now press 1819 on your remote and in the top left corner of your tv you will se enable.Now put your box on standbuy and switch it off at the back and wait 2 mins.Now switch it back on and go to sp1 again and just wait 1 minute and it should connect.If it does not put your box on standbuy again then back on and try again on sp1.It may take a few times but it will connect.

We've tried all methods but I 'think' as his box hasn't been connected in the last 2 months that's the reason why it's not working.

He'll have to be patient and wait lol!
