Default Network Error 8000

I have successfully updated over 20 boxes so far to the new SMGO 2.12
BUT, i have one box that simply wont connect.

Please Newbies don't suggest:

Relash
Factory default
Downgrade software
1819
Switch off
Check cables
Modem
Router
etc

History, box was working with Carling 1.04, never updated to original showmustgoon as friend have been working away so i've only just got my hands on it.

It appears to me that the server is rejecting its connection
when i try and check it in the network file manager i get " connecting to server...........Network Error.....8000
If i plug my box back in, everything works fine, have even used my RS232/lan connector on the box just in case that had failed

So come on you clever people give me some fresh ideas

Thanks for having a go Dazza2008, but my box is getting IP Address because i check the network setting with router plugged in and directly from the Modem and it obtaining the correct IP's for both of them.
Took it to another location, still nothing
Just a correction from my earlier post, box was bought and fitted Dec 2010 and thinking back not sure if it even had carling 1.04 maybe it was still on 1.02 or 1.03
I know the SMGO 2.12 was introduced to stop clones or leechers from the server, am wondering if this box has not registered because that started with Carling 1.04

You've partially answered your own question.

If the box has never been connected to the "SMGO" server (forget previous server) it's likely the MAC has never been registered.

Seems that the door may have been temporarily shut.
This may be due to maintenace being carried out.

May be worth trying again in a few days.

Thats what i was thinking,,,,,,BUT, how come a new box registers ok

Thanks for your answer, seems quite logical, by the sound of it there are quite a few people with the " not connected " problem
Think SV need to look at their over zealous security measures

It's likely that the new box which works fine has been connected prior to the problem box (i guess)

It's hopefully just temp as by the sounds of things the majority of channels have been added over the last day or so, maybe just while this was carried out.

Hi Gimp....firstly i'm the Man...not the effin wo-man...hahaha
reading about different forums does lead me to think that if a box has not been updated to carling 1.04 or even the first SMGO firmware they have not been registered on SV's new database, i presume the original list of MAC's have been lost or destroyed so logging on to the new server re-registered them, now they have changed their server address again with the new SMGO 2.12 our unregistered boxes are not on the list,,,therefore door closed, hopefully there will be a solution sooner than later but all the factory default and rescans in the world wont do any good at the moment the server just needs to recognise our boxes as legit and give access.
