Default LNB help

I am trying to set up Prog DVD but have no idea what an LNB is or what I need to put in the boxes? Tried to google it but can't find anything that helps.

I live in the South of England near Guildford if that is any help?

The LNB is the thing on the dish arm that collects the signal.

It would normally be a 'Universal' so set it to that.

If that is not sufficient, what other info are thte boxes asking for?

I think I have done it now. It was asking which satellites it had to look for etc so I just ticked all the boxes that could be seen from Europe (Found this from lyng sat) and I think its good? The programs horrible to get working though. I hope it gets better lol

After doing some more research I have found out that all the main Freesat and Sky channels are on the satellite Astra 2D at 28.2 degrees East. Are there any other satellites with good channels that I should also include or not really?

It depends on what type of dish you have? If it is a fixed dish pointed at 28E, that is all you will ever get, it is pointless selecting any of the others.

You need a motorised dish, or perhaps a multi-LNB setup if you wish to get signals from other satellites as well as 28E.

Ooo OK I get you. Well I am assuming its set at 28E as it is not motorized and all my other freesat boxes run off it. Thanks for all your help! Its working OK now although the sound keeps going out of sync when I record stuff!

Might have been the strong winds and bad weather we had recently - mine did the same a little but is fine now.
