Default New Panosonic tv to work with satellite dish

Hi,

I am getting a new Panasonic TV with freesat and internet capability. My question is my satellite dish has 3 LNBs on it and my Humax box has 'disec switches' (?) so can handle all the channels on the other satellites. What is the best set up for my new tv to handle all channels again as the humax box won't be needed if the tv has built in freesat?

Thanks

Matt

If the TV doesn't have Diseqc functionality, or allow multi-sat viewing, you wont be able to view all your satellites with it. You would need to carry on using the Humax, and possibly just use the new TV for Freesat with an extra feed from the dish.

So do any of these new internet tvs have this diseqc functionality or any tvs for that matter? It does not say in the specs.

If it doesn't say it the specs, then it probably hasn't got it. It is possible that some sets do, but I have no idea which ones.

Some of the Panasonic Freesat tvs do have diseqc functions. I was installing a 42" TV for someone about a year ago, I saw the function was available in the menu but didn't get to try it.

Since most sets are quoted as being FREESAT capable, and since Freesat is basically the free to air channels on the same satellites as Sky broadcasts on, there's no real need for Diseqc control.
