Hi my daughter has just got a ipod touch, the question is have you got to give your bank details to itunes even if you only download the free ones

No you don't. You just have to register but leave the payment method blank. My son has an iPod touch, and we just buy him iTunes vouchers from the shops.

ive got an iphone and to download free apps from the app store i had to register my bank card.it never charges as i only download the free apps but it still made me register it nevertheless.i tried to do it without and couldnt .
