Default Need a little help

Ok so I'm currently running 1080p on a HD Ready TV, does this effect the smoothness of the picture and the quality of it? Because there are specific TVs with 1080p on the end.

Reason i ask is because I've got my Xbox 360 hooked up to it and i notice that the smoothness of my TV is not the same as my friends TV. His picture just seems to be perfectly smooth if you know what i mean, if you dont just ask and ill try explain further.

A new HDTV will take a few days to "warm up" (Certainly plasma ones do) so this may be occuring.

However, is the Xbox outputting in HD? Simply because I'm under the impression that the xbox doesn't do HD, only the PS3 - or am I wrong on this?

Also, picture smoothness will depend on the quality of the TV - a HDTV simply means it can display high resolution images, but cheap HD TV's can have quite a poor image. LCD HDTV's used to be pretty bad with motion blur a few years ago, though I presume that's mostly corrected now.

In order to qualify for the HDReady tag, a telly merely has to "do" 720. Full HD is 1080. If your telly is HD Ready, then it's probably 720. What is your mates telly, HD Ready or Full HD?
