flashing dbox

hi there
trying to flash nokia dbox with ifa i think i have all the write equipment ,but still having trouble, when i press ok and turn dbox on i get numbers and letters come up on the comport screen and at the same time a minimised box goes down to the bottom of the screen can anyone help ive also been trying to get other images but cannot find any please help

Are you connected with null modem and crossover cable, does anything come up on your LCD display?

i brought a cross over cable and a null modem cable and also a usb converter for the null modem cable , also nothing comes up on the lcd

I never managed to get one of those USB serial adapters to work - have you another PC with a serial port you could try?

Start IFA
Select networkcard
Tick nullmodem if you have one
Select image in C:/
Press ok, if it goes to a comm window turn on the box.
If you dont get flashing in the lcd on the box try holding the power and up button in till the lcd goes blank
then let go wait about 10 seconds
keep trying a few times
or hold power and up button in till lcd goes blank then let go of power button then up button 2 seconds later
it will go through 3 tests in com window then stop at
dbox ppcboot> type in "boot net then press enter
if it does not start to flash
then something is still blocking the network. - best to disable firewall anti virus software before flashing.

hi there
tried another computer and after about 15 tries it finally loaded the image so after about 4 weeks of trying im now up and running , i also noticed that the cross over cable has a loose connection which didnt help either
