Default box not Registerd

hi, i put in the new software and it gave me a box number (edited out) and it said box not registered and not connected please advise

It's been reported that you need to leave the box switched off (no power not just standby) for 5-10 minutes, then re-boot. Don't have an un-registered box to try it myself though.

The only ways for this to get sorted is either for SV to open up there server again and stop doing stupid MAC checks that serve no purpose, or for you to somehow persuade SV to register your MAC.

A firmware swap, by itself, will achieve very little. It would have to be accompanied by an actual change at the server end to effectively re-open the network to all SV boxes.

As for the 5-10 minute thing - I suspect somebody is confusing minutes with seconds. Maybe a translation error from Arabic to English
