Default Box stop working

Hi,

My box was working fine until this afternoon - its now lost all the channels. Has anyone else found this (live in Scotland) - should I try downloading the new firmware or leave it and hope for the best? Has anyone else got the new firmware working?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

you have 2 days left to get new firmware on your box, and counting down till when you will get no service, you will also now get an expire date on your box, which it will be switched off after that, and its Oct/ Nov this year seem to be regardless of when you purchased your box, sorry to say!!.

Where do you get all that from ???

1) 2 days left before old firmware is valid, no time frame when you can update to SMGO 2.21
2) Yep the boxes do show an expiry date, so far ranging from aug - dec, but who says that is when your subscription expires, i presume that date is somehow connected to the manufacture date as i have checked many boxes and the date corresponds to certain batches

I notice you're back in the SV section scaremongering again just like when SV went down, never heard from you when all back up and running and particulary when your beloved KV went T*I*T*S up

Clio1 has been telling everyone the truth about sv expiring from last year, warning people if they brought one, I have been reading his comments and he is the only person telling everyone the truth.

Rubish...........if someone keeps saying the boxes are going to go off eventually they will get it right and say "told you so""
Admittedly he has Technical knowledge but thats it, i respect many of his posts, but when he's just having a stab in the dark i WILL dispute his claims.... unless i know different
They haven't expired...nor have KV,,,both have had their problems but keep plugging away. Everybody knows cable boxes can go at anytime, but as it stands apart from i little technical diffuctlies things are nearly back to normal.

If you believe what people say without understanding how things work don't quote "TRUTH" with such meaning

Two days left before the other firmware on the boxes will no longer connect, you can load the firmware anytime you like but you get 2 days to do this and if you look about, the original poster of the firmware the Kiddy has told people as well.

here is part of the original post, and tbh i could not care less if they go off or not i dont have either box.

cnt u change a mac in a box just like a modem with the right program or read the bin file and change the date like the old card

I sent a few pm's to clio1 last year and 100% he told me sv will have a 12 month cutt of date on their boxes. If you been reading his post you would of seen him telling members about the time limit. Today I'm reading members post and all are saying theirs a date on them. Strange.

Possibly, but I imagine they will of thought of that.

I'd guess if you try to log into the server with the same MAC on more than one box at the same time then that MAC will be permanently banned !

Bit silly of them really tbh, such simple things are very open to abuse.

Starview have released new software (yesterday) and it now gives a date for cut off apparently someone else is now running the server and not doing a very good job of it from what i can see i and many others have boxes that won't connect mine is brand new!! just read on another forum if it says not connected then you will have to pay a subscription a post by megakiddy???talk about takin the **** steer well clear of SV thats all i can say good job i have a KV
