Default Starview HD Combo Plus

Hi everyone. Im a very very patient guy, BUT can anyone please tell me if there is EVER going to be a new firmware release for the Starview HD Combo Plus. This box worked before things went tits up, now we seem to have slow but sure progress with getting the 7's back up and running, but zero progress for the HD Combo's. Im still willing to wait(Got no Choice realy) but it would just be nice to know if "there is or there isnt" going to be a firmware update to get these boxes serving a purpose again. I have two, and i get nothing Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to reply, and if its positive, then thanks even more.

i'm 99.99% sure there will be no fix for the sv combo on the cable side as they don't have the source code to fix it. but it has already been said use it for the sat side

Hi

Doesnt look like there will ever be a release for this, been talk that there will once sv6/7 are sorted but they are still riddled with problems.

I gave up and started using it on sat side and am happy.

It does now seem unlikely that the new Starview server will give free access to HD Combo's. They may allow HD Combo's to subscribe if they accept pay connections as has been muted on other forums. You can use a cable server on the combo with the existing firmware - if you can find one.
