Default CS3 not Recognising format

I have copied an old VHS tape to a DVD recorder using a to a Maxwell dvd-r disc. The DVD recorder is a Samsung DVD-SH895M.
I am using Premier Pro CS3 to edit the disc but CS3 won't recognise the format.

Please help I really enjoy working with CS3

Have you finalized the DVD in the Samsung? This writes the TOC so other players can see the contents.
