Default Can anyone help?... Invalid Mac

Hi guys, new to posting here but confess to having used the site on numerous occassions for various info in the past. Great site by the way with some fantastic input!

Anyhoo my problem is that my Kryptview A780 has recently returned the dreaded invalid mac error and i have no way of returning box to supplier. I bought the box from yourcablebox.co.uk but their website has been taken down and seems to have ceased trading. The box is only 10 months old and supposedly came with a 12 month warranty which is pretty useless as i cant reach supplier to return box. I'm aware that Kryptview are aware of this fault and this is most likely a long shot but can anyone help me in regards to getting the box back to supplier or Kryptview for replacement or repair?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Regards, KDC

Have you tried reflashing your box again, first I have heard of a mac being invalid on a kv.

Thanks for reply mate. Yes i've tried factory reset and flashing back to fta firmware then reflashing back to unofficial firmware. No joy! From what i can gather on reading up on other forums is that only Kryptview themselves can repair this fault as there is no fix.

Unfortunately nobody can fix this problem except manufacturer, so you will need to send it back to your supplier, no amount of flashing will fix this as the eeprom has become corrupt, now i see by your post your supplier has ceased trading but im sure lincsat could take this box from you and replace it and then send yours back to his supplier for a replacement on your behalf, and as Kv are aware of this problem it should not cause him a problem either, might cost you the price of the postage both ways, worth a chance.
