Default Any recommendment for "plays all" disc formats?

Need to get my mum a divx type player which plays data avi's and vcs's and stuff. all these usual formats which i can no longer keep up with.. cd's, dvd-r's +- rw or whatever.

Dont want to spend much, it has to be black and fairly easy to use.

playing from usb might be good too, wi-fi also would be good.

any one know where to get such a player?

i've got a linksys kiss which was a ton a few years back which i like but she aint havin that and i dont want to spend anywhere near that?

I got one 2 years ago from asda, plays everything, no usb though but the new one's might have them now, worth a look and was £30 to £40, next time I'm in asda I'll have a look.

He seems happy with it he compared it to the players you get from asda.

as hes in scotland and im in yorkshire cannot see first hand. but hes tried lots or formats already. wma,mp3,divx,xvid and avi and all play without skipping.

for £30 u can get a Sumvision Cyclone Micro 2 Media Player... plays all format... heard the user interface is abit **** along with the remote so for the price can't ask for much really...

i've own one of those DVD player with usb that play avi files... its okay if u dont mind copying over one of two file from pc to the usb everytime u wanna watch something... even if u have 250gb ext HDD with 100's more folder files in them the DVD won't see all of them only a handful.. best to get a proper media player that plays all format like MKV, AVI, RMVB, MPG, WMV imho..
