The forum rules clearly state that the discussion of commercial servers or payservers is not permitted, things seem to have got a bit out of hand lately with what is being discussed, and the rules have been openly flouted. Just trying to curtail things a little, in the interests of keeping things a little more legal.

You know, its difficult to draw a line. I don't think the issue is limited to just the one brand either, all commercial servers have to be paid for one way or another.

Apart from that, the repeated posts, bashing starview, are getting very boring.

Dont actually think that is true m8, so paying for support is ok even though its for a payserver, is this is what we are saying ??, so we can tell people they have to pay for the support, but not the payserver, just want to get this one cleared up.

Regardless of whether or not Sv or Kv sold boxes with ser*** access now or have before Sv changed this, to paying for both a box and support ie payserver what is the correct way this should be said if people ask, how do we pay to get our boxes back on, do we

1 say you have to pay for support for your Sv box to be put back on

2 say you pay for the support which is for your ser*** access

3 say you are paying for support but this is not for support but for a payserver.

Clarification on this one would be good by yourself, seen as you have decided to take this one on.

Thanks

I suggest that you consult a qualified legal expert if you want a definitive answer on what you should and should not post. However, the forum rules are there for all to read:-

Quote:
This forum is for general discussion of Card-share and associated technology, it is not intended to offer specific help to obtain a C/S for any package or service.
Please adhere to the following rules for card-share discussion. They will be strictly enforced by the staff.

1. No discussion of UK providers
2. No exchanging share lines or advertising for shares. This includes via PM
3. No discussion of commercial servers
4. Do not PM staff asking for support
5. Do Not post WAN IP addresses or complete DNS addresses on the forum
6. Posting email addresses or Instant Messenger contacts on the forum will be considered advertising for shares as per rule 2
7. Do not post cam logs etc to the forum

Anyone breaking rules 1, 2 or 3 will be banned permanently.
and these two also

Quote:
1. Keep it legal: Don't post keys, firmware, or similar to the forums;

2. Don't link to illegal content on other sites on the public forums
Remember users are accountable for what they post.

My opinion is that no help should be given to members requesting help in getting their boxes working again if connected to a commercial server, however that is my own persaonal opinion only, which is no doubt unpopular not one shared by all. So I will mainly be dealing with blatent abuse.

Unfortunately, to a large extent, the forums are also accountable for what members post. Thats the thing that makes this recent development somewhat hairy. Something you could talk about before has now crossed the line to something thats decidedly iffy !

If p2p and private trackers can be held accountable for the content and their user activities then surely a forum of this nature can be held accountable for the information, content and links to defraud companies.

Lets not beat about the bush and hide behind words..We all know why people came to this site and many others like it...

Also remember that Payserver access is bundled with Kryptview and some Satellite box purchases, so discussion of them is also likely to be more strictly enforced.

Mods are currently discussing a policy and deciding how far to let discussion on ALL these boxes go.

Perhaps we should have a sticky, which has a list of everyone who doesn't like Starview. Then they don't have to spend their time reminding everyone that they think SV is crap, and Sat/KV is better.
