Eurovox Max Remote Problem

Hi Everyone,

I'm a new boy on here and have problem with my box so any help would be appreciated.

I am unable to turn the channels via the remote only the box buttons themselves.

I have tried with a different eurovox remote which my dad has but it makes no difference!

Any ideas why this might be happening???? It was ok until a couple of days ago.

As a matter of interest was the first remote within range of the eurovox when you tried your dad's?

It could be a case where one of the keys on the first remote is stuck, this would then block out the second remotes signal.

Try running your fingers along all the keys on your remote to free them, it's very easy for one key to get caught in the edge.

Thanks for the suggestion but unfortunately it's still not working.

I'll have to see if I can return it I guess unless anyone can suggest any other remedy?

your box probably needs reflashing,check the remote through a camera phone the sensors will light up when you press a button if its working reflash the box with red or blue box firmware from feb 07 and this should solve your probs.

if you have tried a working remote on your box and its not working and if you have not flashed your box with wrong firmware then its the remote sensor on your box thats faulty , I know someone who has some front panels ( used )with sensor for abot £17 delivered pm me if you need one

hi i noticed that you could get the frount face for the eurovox as my remote reiver is not working??how much and how can i pay?

they are on ebay ,front panels and power supplies in the cable box section a search for eurovox max will show them

Hi is the middle of the 3 green light on? if so the box is locked like mine and as yet no one has been able to give me a solution I have flashed mine and had no joy getting it to unlock. If I do find a solution (other than taking my box back to the guy I got it off) I will let you know

my remote control has stopped workig on my eurovox,the remote works fine on my friends box. the middle light on the unit has lit up green does this mean my box is locked too . if so what can be done to fix it
