Going by your description I assume you're using Diseqc 1.2, what type of motor do you have?
Have you tried using Usals?

Of course it has 1.2 and USALS, try reading the instructions?

Go to motor control, not DiSEqC settings for static dishes

You have to save the position and then select another satellite is satellite setup and move the dish to that satellite and save that position and so on and then when you want to watch a channel on a different satellite you will bring up a list of satellites select the one you want and it will move the dish to that satellite assuming you have programmed it in using DiSEqC 1.2. Btw it will also have USALS.

thanks for the advice , yep thats what i have been doing , saving every position then moving to next sat and saving that , press the blue button to bring a list of sats press on one and choose a channel and nothing happens , it stays on the last sat that i scanned , also tried usals and put in my lat and long and when i pressed goto nothing happened again , will reset to factory defaults and have another go today .
cheers

Check your connections, there might be a loose connection, or something causing a short.
Start at the one goiong in the back of your receiver and work back to the motor and LNB.
