Default Super hub & MAC sniffers

Can you use MAC sniffer apps on Virgin Media super hub or has it got to be through the old style modems such as Ambit 255 and 256?

Sniffing MAC addresses will work on any cable modem regardless of your ISP. As long as you have an active cable/DSL broadband connection with an ISP, you can sniff away lol.

Not true - many ISP's completely disable the ability to see certain kinds of data traffic at the 'user' end of the modem. Such devices would, at least, require modified firmware.
