Very easy there are two different sections for the two different boxes.

Control pepole like Clio1, to stick to the section of the box they prefer, so then they may find there selves to be useful and not repeat the tit-for-tat comments in evey thread someone starts.

Would not call it tit for tat m8 tbh, if Kv where doing what Sv is doing i would be saying the exact same thing about them, that they are greedy Barstools as well, lets call a spade a spade m8, if they where honest and up front with people then there is no problem, its the underhanded way they do things.

just like the Sv1 days where they brought a Sv2 out and then dropped the support for Sv1, even though there was nothing wrong with the box, but told people oh that wont work anymore, well folks how come Sunrise was able to fix that, and the Sv2 when sv3 came out, the Sv3 when the sv4 was then introduced, so as you can see this is not just happening now, this has been an ongoing operation, be up front tell people "look" box is going to be 12mts, after that you buy a new box end of, that way it gives people the opportunity to decide if they want to buy, dont just deceive people into thinking the box will work for ever, or if they do bring a new box out at least support the older ones as well, that way people have choice, and it does not harm the reputation of the box either.

As i have said before i personally loved the Sv boxes had them all the time, its just the way they went about things so underhanded that turned me off them, even eurovox was not as good or ddigital light, they had a good product and a good name and fooked it up all by themselves.

Very simple the box will last for a period of 12mts think that is simple enough to say, after that you buy a new one, that is been upfront, not here is a new box but the older one no longer supported, but it would work if we make it but we are not going to do that as we want everyone to buy a new box and get your cash.

Yet Sunrise was able to fix the Sv1,2,3 in a short time frame, and save folks money that they did not need to spend.

That is honest and upfront.!!

got to agree with that,,,, in the beginning everyone was told 12 months use then ,, buy a new box or whatever and people were happy with that,, ok not happy but accepted it.
now the sevrer being raided was out of starviews control to an extent, ie they could have had a back up in another location, but it also wasnt the fault of the many starview customers, yet after the server had been repaired/replaced all of a sudden that initial 12 months had gone and a sub server had been put in its place, so even if some poor sod bought a box 3 minutes before the big raid they would have to pay to get any service back.
personally starview or the megakiddy could have given all sv customers a 12 month period of free server use from when they got the server back up and runniing and then asked for more money etc which would have had most sv customers happy! but they chose not too and now people hate starviews.... and that wont change very quickly!!
i know people who got 2 to 3 months from their boxes and as a good will gesture and to keep customers happy even if starvie had given 6 months free server use that would have appeased any customers that felt ripped off.....

now me for instance have a combo but the day sv was raided i swapped over to sat and will never look back, my srver keeps the feed pefect and theres a lot more choice of channels and its better quality too.

starview have chosen to shoot themselves in the foot on this one and it sonly desperate people with no other option that wil pay them...

I may have got the details wrong about the raid but it is still a rip off what you are doing kiddy. Why would people pay a subscription to a substandard server and leave a paper trail to them selfes. As soon as any payment is made we leave a paper trail straight to our door steps.
