Default Kryptview box not working

Hi Everyone,

I got my box in November and when it went off a few months ago I turned it off and left it off. I've come to turn it back on today and scan for channels and nothing comes up? I've been and bought a new splitter and also when the box is turned on my internet goes off?

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

what message is on screen steph no signal bad signal or something else is your firmware up to date have you tried factory reset and rescan

I've done a factory reset but when I scan it says "already exists" then when it's finished it goes back to the factory reset menu.

your box's software needs reflashed/updated to connect to the kv server bud, as its been so long you will have to download the latest fw for the a780 and flash it via rs232 cable, because the new server doesnt support menu upgrades from older fw versions. then factory default and scan for channels and u should be sorted

That does not sound good. It basically points to a screwed tuner module 'shorting' the cable. Under any normal circumstances (even the wrong firmware) that should never occur.

Right I'm back to report, I went and flashed it and it says that it's up to date?

I think maybe I should just pay to get it upstairs too, I'm subscribed to the lowest package downstairs with TW but don't spend any time downstairs.

Is there anything else I can try apart from stamping on it? lol

I'm not completly 100% with technology. So what do I do? does that mean it's useless?

What says its up to date ?, that message comes from the internet which you say goes off when the electrical power to the box is switched on !

How is your internet connected to the box, is it with an Ethernet cable ?

How did you flash the box, was it with a null-modem cable ?

What firmware revision / & / date is showing ?

Did you re-boot your router ?

Did you delete all channels and do a factory re-set and choose the correct provider, and scan on the green button ?
