Hi everyone, been a member on here on for a while now but never posted. I've used this to read other posts for research and help in the past from when I had the eurovox. I'm probably asking a silly question but after some thought I've decided to gamble with the kryptview. Is there anywhere that sells a pre flashed box? Or is there anyone that can do it for me in the surrey area as I don't have a computer or know anyone with a old one? Sorry if its a stupid question and offends anyone.

Hi mate thanks for the reply,I've tried looking on gumtree but no one in this area sells one. I have got an internet connection as I use my ps3 online,I just havnt got an actual computer. Guess ill have to buy one. Would a old laptop with a rs232 port work or does it have to be desktop effort?

Laptop will work just fine mate. If the laptop doesn't have a RS232 port then you can always get a converter which will convert it to USB.

Thanks guys. Just worried I'm gonna buy a box,not be able to set it up and completly cock it up. I'll order one from lincsat and hope for the best. Just one other thing, can you use any Windows operating system on the computer for the flashing if using a usb - rs232 converter? I know this all sounds simple to you guys but I just want to get it right first time hassle free lol

Setting it up is not hard @ all so quit worrying! The Flashing via RS232 is only required once and after that you can update the firmware via the Remote. |

Id recommend you dont use the usb to rs232 converters, they are absolute rubbish, and ive never got them to work after trying pretty much everything. as well as lots of other people on here who have had trouble with them. Just get an old laptop with an rs232 port built in, and seeing as its old, it should be fairly cheap. |
