yes i believe that is the case in certain merseyside areas FTA on there offical STBs are not working either think its mainly chanel 4`s may be wrong.

Right.. As far as am concerned is that the FTA channels work perfectly fine on his VM supplied STB and on the KV A780 he seems to have trouble with it. Which baffles me because I have done everything according to the book, if you know what I mean mate.

PPV channels work fine and the ones that are down, well I know they doing some work with the server from what I have heard and that they should be be back soon. Wether this is true or not I don't know.

If you have the 'M' package then you will get the full array of free channels for free !

VM doesn't have freeview as such but they do have a free tv package if you subscribe to their other services. Remember that if you dont subscribe to at least one service then you shouldn't be using the cable at all for anything !

hey coder i rang up VM and asked for the M package i get a good few channels HD ones etc etc which is the M+ package this costs me £6.50 a month so i asked for a smaller package and there said there do not do the M package at all iam on the smallest package i could get this confuses me as my mate does not have the hd channels and pays nothing for his tv box. i have phone line and 20mb boardband i just thought i could cut some money from my £50.00 bills that come in :S any ideas

netid = 40980
frequency = 539.000
symbol rate = 6.952

Using Ex / CW and its scanned on the Hayes Net ID mate. Symbol Rate is defo 6952.

I don't personally own the box. Am just trying to help someone else you see.

Evening all !

Just plugged in my old VM+ (bricked) box from 2years ago to see what we get........ Net Id 00017 pure NThell.
Not a great deal to report, got about 7 channels & nothing else
Aaarrrghhh ! My door is closing ! Must return STB to door stopping position again

Just tell them you no longer wish to subscribe to any TV package but you are keeping phone/broadband. They will usually persuade you to keep the box in case you change your mind later and also move you down to the 'M' package.

They may not advertise the M pack anymore but it certainly does exist and they will put you on it if you insist enough !

Not sure if you would get any HD programs on the M pack.
