Question How to Aquire the NET ID on a Pacebox

Hi

I am sitting searching the forum on how to aquire NET ID on a Pace box please.

Need the NET ID so that I can get the KV working in the correct area.

Funny thing is that few of the FTA channels just don't seem to be working. One being Channel 4 and Channel 4+1.

Maybe someone can shed some light on this please

SNR is around 88% when Scanning.

If the firmware is pretty old then you may not have the newer menu's. The NetId can still be found though by accessing the engineering menu. Up/Down keys held for 20 secs whilst powering up I think it was

Or take a look in the new NETID list on TW:
Area net id required!

I saw that yesterday mate. And have scanned it on the Hayes NET ID. What baffles me now is that why the FTA channel like Channel 4 and Channel 4+1 don't work?

BBC and the rest work. Oh and ITV also doesn't work either.

Use your own Net ID with your box, you will not receive full FTA without a valid subscription. Not sure why but that's just the way it is and it's daft. I still have an old Samsung 2110c kicking about somewhere and I only get 7 or 8 FTA channels on that. I thought the purpose of FREEview was to receive certain channels WITHOUT having to pay anything lol.

The guy pays for the basic package you see. So he should be entitled to get the FTA channels.
