hello formum members i am completelynew to this forum and i hope a few of you can help me .firstly i flashed the box with_a780_03012011.bin i think but not sure if this was the exact file because i deleteted it from my pc thinking it was faulty .then i tried to reflash the box but couldnt also tried to update but there are no update sections in the box.i have scanned the box i get all the channels showing up in the epg but only a few fta channels work scanned with internet cable out signal strength 80%plus i am scanning on the a direct feed on the the right network id so could someone please tell me what i am doing wrong

Have a look on Kryptview section and you will find a sticky mate .

You are not far off .

First of look on system Information on your box

this is what it should say.

Date: 24/04/2011
Software Version: Kryptview A780 PV3.80
H/W Version: V 3.0.0

if this is not the case then look below.

look here to see if you updated it correct

Easy guide for updating the KV A780 and A750(with pics!)

Next if you have updated it correctly plug your box in with the nextwork cable in the back then do a factory defalut setting then do a scan but "NETWORK" scan this should bring up your NETID click ok then scanning will go

all the channels should be found if you have the correct NETID if you dont know this check this link.. Area net id required!

Many thanks for your reply i think it is my software, which was pre installed (evolution a780v.3.0.0).it needs to be kryptview .a780.pv3.80 still working out how to do that tried putting new software on and i get not requested everytime,i willo get there eventually thanks again

Thanks mate for trying to help still trying top get new software downloaded but stilling having problems with not not requested think its because i have software already on the kryptview

Maybe a common mistake ( which i did at 1st ) box needs to be off before trying to load new software on .

i did have the box turned off and i still get not requested hopefully i can find some info on the software(evolution a780 v3.0.0)surelt this software should work thanks anyway

when dloading firmwere to box plug it in but turn it off at the back hit start on the loader and quickly turn the box on via switch and it should start to load firmwere on to box hope this helps

Turn the box off at the back first, then when you have all ready press start on loader, then turn the switch on the back on again, you will then see the front display going in a square on it, just leave it alone.

thanks too everybody who help me download the firmware, i did turn the box off and when i started to download switched on and it work. it says on the system information h/w v3.0.0 and software version evolutions a780 v3.2.00 did a factory reset also reset router /modem still only got freeview but all the digital channels loaded in the epg
