Default DAC for my HD TV

I have an LG42PJ350 plasma tv. I have recently noticed that it hasn't got any 3.5mm jack output or RCA outputs which means that I can't run any headphones on it.

I understand after having a look on the internet that the only way of doing it is to use a DAC connected using the optical output to allow me either to run it through external speakers or headphones.

I only want to use it for occasional use with my Xbox so I don't annoy my long suffering girlfriend while she studies at night and for occasionally watching films late at night. Based on that I don't want to spend too much on it just something fairly basic to allow me to connect headphones.

Also i dont have too many spare power sockets left and would prefer a USB powered unit that could be powered from the Xbox if there is such a thing.

Any advice or ideas would be much appreciated to point me in the right direction.

Cheers
