Default no dsl

Hi,

bit thick on this subject, but antway I am trying to cofig a talk talk d link router to my broadband supplier ie plusnet I know I can config by putting in password / user but cannot get the dsl to work so no internet, can anyone help please ? . tried to put this the best way I can I'm not really clued up on this subject.

I assume that the router you have is a ADSL compatible one and not the DSL one.

With ADSL when you go to the basic settings if memory serves me right is that it should set as I think PPPOE and the VC should be 38 if memory serves me right and the other one should be 0

Your DNS addresses are set to obtain automatically from the ISP unless they have been given to you.

You would need to enter the user and password which was given to you by the ISP.

Keep an eye on the LAN connection to check weather it has connected or not.

And finally if it doesn't work then its best to contact the ISP to obtain the correct settings.
