From memory the Echostar 3000ip is an analogue, and digital, satellite receiver but has limited channel space.
What firmware is on it? Go into the menu and check. It also drives a 1224 motor, connected using 4 wires, have you got these connected correctly? Have you aligned your satellite dish on your nearest true south satellite, which corresponds to your longitude? You need to manually move the dish, using your receiver, then store the satellites, and scan in the channels you want, delete any you don't want as the channel memory quickly fills up. |

Still a very good receiver IMO- 5A 36v - skew control - etc.. - still handy for bigger motorised with that 5A.. we've got a couple left just to use as a controller.... 5000 digital channels & 800 analogue - no blind scan on digital but does have it on analogue ..not quite as sensitive as receivers today - very solid machine & pretty good [SD] PQ..
What motor is the dish on? The g boxv3000 is like the vbox & is used between a modern diseqc 1.2 receiver not the echostar ad3000 - you need to sort out what you have got- sounds like a bit if a mix
