Default how can I get my music to ipod with out itunes?

How can I get my music on to my ipod without using itunes. The reasons being every time i connect, itunes trys to grab every single piece of music from my harddrive and sticks it in itunes, and not in order. P**sed off

I'm sure I've done this for my daughter's IPod using Ubuntu and Rhythmbox (or some similar Linux music player).
Boot into a live CD of Ubuntu if you haven't got it installed on a PC and give it a try, can't do any harm.

all you need to do is have the driver for your ipod (so you can enter the hardrive and things and veiwable ) then go to my computer open your ipod go to the address type /ipod_control after the alreasy address
go in there and unhide all files go to music and drag a song you'll have to rename it to a 4 ltters word
