Down to your Budget Entirely.

If it's a Motorized setup then I would suggest a Dm800HD, Clone version would cost you around 140 quid.. Genuine is probably am guessing 300 - 400 quid.

if you have the money to spend say around 300 quid then VU+DUO is the one to go for without a doubt as it wins HANDS DOWN!

Avoid the cheap S9 & S10 boxes! Far to much trouble with them and not too mention only 5000 channel memory.

The Blade Media HD has had some very good reviews as well.

Note: All HD receivers are capable of handling 3D viewing as long as you have the TV to support it.

All in All any if you think about it... Any DVB S or DVB S 2 box with motor control of Disec Q 1.1, 1.2 and usals will do the job but the main ones recommended above.

thanks for the advice! had a quick search through the forum regarding the mentioned stb's but have a few more questions.
What is the support like for the blade? and what are goodies available through it? would i be right in saying this isnt a linux box?

Not much on this forum about the VU+ box and i am a bit reluctant to enter the world of linux cos i havent a clue about the whole process of images etc ???

c/s havent a clue??
gifts ??

with my tm it was download patch and key and you away with digi on 1w and premiere on 19.2

I understand things have moved on and i have a lot of research to do before i make my decision

thanks again

Blade seems to be supported well according to the reviews and its a closed source box.

Regarding cs and gift you will need to Google that mate I cant and not allowed to talk about it.

Linux boxes are not hard to use at all. Just at the start they are hard to use after you get the hang of em they are easy to use.

Vu+duo is a very good box from reviews.

Regarding the images For a dm 800 we can help you on here.

lol I am not sure if such guides are even out there mate. Which ever u get stuck on you can ask on here.

Ebay is not as bad as you think it is dude. However u can Google it and you shall find plenty of sites.

Or

you can buy it from Linc-sat who is a Mod of this site and he has a very good reputation dude.
