Me again lads..did al of the above but still can't connect to this router (either wirelessly or connecting with ethernet cable.

In Wireless network connection it says that it is connected but when I try to load a page it Times Out.

Is there an issue with me using TalkTalk on a BT Router?

Have you changed all the settings to match your talktalk account?
There should be an internal diagnostics, in the menu, or a set up wizard option.
Most routers work with most broadband providers, once set up correctly.

I'm back again.

After re-setting the router I took it to my father in laws (his broadband is with BT)
I expected it to work automatically but no.

Wireless network connection says 'connected' but it won't load a page!!

Do I need to change something in 192.168.2.1 ?

cheers

Yes, once in the router change the settings to match your ISP personal settings, especially your internet username and password, as provided by your ISP, for talktalk this is usually your telephone number @ talktalk.net and the password provided in your welcome package.

Thanks for the advice.

Is there a default user/pass for BT? Father in law has never been given a router by Bt so prob won't have the info.

It doesn't matter if he's been using an old dial up modem, or new router, he will still have a username, and password, unique to him, that is used to log on to the internet.
Has he got a BT broadband account? He should have received a welcome pack, which usually includes a router.
