hi i have an acer aspire 5742 im trying to burn music to cd via windows media player it wont burn and says burner busy anybody any ideas thank you

Try using different software, there are some free ones online.

Try using the 3rd party CD buring software like Nero will help.

May also update the Media Player to the latest version and/or delete the CD burning drive from the Device Manager and reboot the computer to let the computer recapture the device.
