I have had my phone unlocked to any network, I need to do a factory reset, but I need to know whether I will lose the unlock if I do this???

You should not lose the unlock, as long as if the unlock was done as a permanent unlock and not a temp one. I don't think on the HTC is possible to do a temp unlock anyway.
