people tend to get one to start with, the with the free giffgaff to giffgaff calls they order more and more for their friends and family, once you top up you get 3 months worth of free giff calls so its a win win network, lots of free credit can be had by handing out free sims using your own link when you have activated this sim from me,also help out other members in the community and gain free credit from that, in 2 months of helping i have been given £30 of free credit from the giffgaff people to use as i wish, i tend to change £10 per month into a goodybag which gives me 250 minutes of calls (any network) unlimited giffgaff calls and unlimited any network texts, plus and this is the real bonus for me as i have an ipad2 , unlimited internet use anywhere anytime,,, one thing also to note,,,,, all the other networks charge you for 0800 free call numbers but giffgaff dont, free numbers are always free to ring thru the giffgaff network!!

couldnt agree more been with giffgaff for a few months now (after you recomended them a while back) and great for idevices or even android as their internet allowance is unlimited. never knew tht about their forum but then again it is the only contact u have with them as they keep costs down by not providing any customer service except via forum!!!

ive just got my giffgaff sim for my daughter through the link above, one question i have thoug is what happens when you run out of your allowance? as i have seen it says about call charges and text charges?

I looked at their forum the other day. They claim "Truly Unlimited" data, then of the forum refer to the T&C where they state the data is limited to a smartphone only - no tethering or use in a dongle.

you should buy goodybags from giffgaff for the best results and when the allowance runs out, you can simply buy another via apps or the giffgaff site. another thing is mate your daughter has a smart phone there are plenty of apps that allow free calls and mssgs to others with the same app via wifi or 3g. which could save a few pennys in the long run

i know ppl that have used these sims for other than the intended purposes and they still werent capped. although i wouldnt reccomend it or abuse these terms and conditions as it will spoil the fun for everyone, and data allowances will be made up with 02's payg 3g dongle services in mind.

Just like the ISP's, they shouldn't advertise "Unlimited" when there are limits. I guess in this case it could be considered as discrimination with the poorly sighted relying on a larger screen to see their e-mails when mobile. I know I struggle to see the phone screen sometimes and do rely on my lappy for reading e-mails and browsing when mobile. I probably use less than 100MB per Month, but not worth the risk of being restricted.

Seems most of the mobile providers also say the same thing. T-Mobile have told me that my "unlimited data" plan only relates to normal internet browsing, and that downloads are limited to 500MB!!
