the box was wrking now not at all i cannot get all the channels it says scramble no channel available does it need flashing or can a update be done straight from the box it has on it 11/4/11 does that mean it is out of date now any help appreciated and also a full set up guide aswell thank you. guys ?

1) you stated that your channels are no longer working.. well you need to update that firmware.. And that can be done via the remote as long as you have an active internet connection with the box connected to the router etc etc. To do the update you need to access the Menu and go through all the settings and you should see S/W update or along those lines.

2) You require the correct Net ID, if you don't have the correct Net ID some of the channels will be missing or not working from what I have experienced. Now if you are paying the minimum subscription or even have broadband with them then you should be fine. However if your paying for the TV (lowest package / Free View) then you would have been given a STB and from there you can check your Net ID and scan your channels.

3) Finally if the box is not connected to the internet then there is no Channels.

I am thinking of getting a Kryptaview A780 but my modem is upstairs and I have a cable and box downstairs can I get another modem and split the cable downstairs to connect the internet to an A780

Thats a EU one as you can see that the plug is not a 3 pin plug etc.

They do sell them in the UK.

Just to let you know you need to buy 2 of them

1 plugs into the router.

second one can be used any where in the house.
