Its interesting,THEY DIDNT LET ANYONE THRU!! (They put those things up EVERYTIME)

Imagine the things ACCIDENTLY CAME UP when a bus was over them??

I would guess the transmitter gadget on the bus which tells the barrier to open, can also tell the barrier when the bus is clear?
Emergency vehicles also have them - would be a good project for the electronics section on here to build

Loads of stupid car drivers got caught on the ones in Manchester city centre, totally ignored the signs, and ended up with busted vehicles. Serves 'em right.
