Hi all,
I live in Newcastle upon Tyne and want to buy a new sat dish in order to be able to view Greek TV on Hotbird and SKY. How big dish is required, 80, 90 cm? Any suggestions of where or what brand to buy? Eb$y sell this item 330604640429 (DiSEqC 1.2/1.3 Usals Satellite 120 H-H Motor with GoTo X - 0, 90cm High Gain Satellite Dish and 1 x 0.2 dB - Single Universal LNB) any good? Fixed dish and 2-3 blocks like Inverto system or motorised? Will a motorised dish be too noisy to use as I live in downstairs flat? Enough with the questions for the time being at least ![]() ![]() Any help appreciated... Aris |

Hi dch2gav,
welcome to the forum. Do you already have a Sky dish? When you say Greek TV do you mean a particular package, like the Nova Package, or greek television in general? If only planning to view the 2 satellites, 28.2E, and 13E, then a fixed dish system would be a better solution, if you are planning to view more satellites then a motorized system would give you a lot more options. |

If you just decide on those two satellites then one option is just to use 2 sky dishes.

Hi guys,
thanks for the replies ![]() I already have a sky dish installed about 1,5 years ago by SKY people. I installed an old sky dish for the Greek-Nova TV, worked for a year but now when it rains/snows/sunny/windy it does not work! How big dish will I need to buy for Hotbird? Thanks |

a sky dish will do .. but I suggest you check your old dish as there must be a small problem with it - it's moved, there's water got into the connectors or there is a cable faults/ damage etc.. the lnb is duff.. unless the dish has suffered damage - replace it if it's bent
