Default what's the difference

I have had a kv for a number of years, and before they all went down they were superb, no glitching, every channel available including box office, now they are back up running they are hardly worth watching because of all the glitching, my question is if they were so good before why can't they get them as good now? after all the equipment is still the same as it always was

Maybe overloading, but i think i read somewhere that they've changed the system and how it works, to make it more secure after the sv fiasco and kv raids. Might be BS though.

Its not exactly difficult to see the differences and its certainly not down to 'overloaded' servers.

They've sold relatively few boxes since the big raids (remember, most new imports were confiscated) and the actual servers have not really changed.

The only thing that has really changed is the way they attempt to protect themselves, and who can blame them for that ?

So is this the beginining of the end?......

A fella offered me a dreambox or something for £120 he says glitch free on private server. Then £60 a year after that. Which doesnt seem bad to me. Compared to the price ov vm or sly.

What you's think?... Are those dreambox any good?. Would i be getting ripped off?.

actually i am not talking about man u channel or anything like that, I use my sub box for most channels and the kv just for movies and sport, but at least ten times during a match I lose the signal which of course is annoying, when kv was up and runing again I dropped the movies and sport package and watched them on kv and it is not good at the moment, as for being another 10,000 on I don't really buy that because right up until they went down the picture was perfect, and immediately after the update it wasn't, and right up until they went down I could access box office now I can not. I am not complaining, but it just seems to me as though it must be a software problem as the hardware has not changed, and surely if the kv team intend to sell more boxes they will have to improve the service

Technically, there's little real difference between the KV and the dreambox - they both do pretty much the same thing. The dreambox is slightly more flexible (if your technical enough to be able to use that) but the KV has a tuner better suited for UK use (quite an area of VM works with very low signal levels that dreamboxes would have a problem with).

So, pro's & cons to both options so you really need to try it and see in your particular location.

btw, there's likely to be nearly as much chance of glitching on a dreambox type server as on the KV type server. The dreambox server is likely to be uk based and relatively close (so mostly good routing) but its also likely to be running on a domestic line so service can very much depend on what else the server operator is doing using the internet.
