i have looked at the tut and i have found what i think is the jtag pins in the box, the pins are in a straight line numbered from 1 to 11. are the connections the same as the 4000 board listed in the tut, ie pin 1/2 = vcc, and if not does anyone know what the connections are for this board? the stb uses the st5517 chip so even if i could find a datasheet for this i might be able to con out the connections to the jtag pins. picture of board and jtag pins below. thanks for any help.

I think i read somewere these boxes are hard to do. if your card is locked you would need an unlooper.maybe be better off getting another box off ebay, etc. maybe someone on here will know how to connect jtag?
