Default password prob

Hi all my bro has got a samsung r530 had i 1 year and now it will not let him put he's password in on boot up can i get the password off so he can use it ?

I assume that this is the Boot password when it passes POST. if that is the case then there is one way to bypass that is by removing the C MOS battery as that is one way of doing as long as the laptop has it.

its the log in password so it stop people from using your laptop???

Reinstall windows is the most straight forward way, any files if needed will still be saved in a folder called " old windows " you will have to reinstall any programs though.
There are other ways if you google it but the free methods dont usually work.

You can get a boot disk HERE that will remove the password for you.

no its not the most straight forward,it can be done with a linux os as a live cd, hirens or erd commander,all available if you no where to look

Right so it was a login password!! Well if it was using Win XP then you could have bypassed it with a simple trick as there is a back door exploit.

Otherwise you would need to had some sorta password cracking software in order to bypass it etc.

But yea a format would have been the easiest solutions.
