What is the best image to flash onto this box, I have been told to use pli but when I check site I can only find Images for dm500s and not dm500c.

Unless you have a server to connect to then no image is of any great use.

The Pli images will work on a cable or Satellite box, as will most images. The latest commando is pretty good too.
