Dreambox DM500 can't get internet settings

I have recently make some changes from my ISP from a regular modem to a wireless one (so I can remove the router). The new Wifi modem also has 4 ports, the model is Hitron BVW3635. The router that i had there, a linksys, i transformed it to a wifi repeater so i can have longer wifi coverage.

Note i'm in cyprus.
The problem I have since this change is that when i connect the dreambox on the hitron modem it doesn't get automatically the communication settings and the modem doesn't detect the dreambox.
But when I connect it to the router (which right now is on the other site of the house) finds the settings just fine.

Any suggestions?

have you tried dcc to see if the dreambox is being picked up by the router

possibly you've got ip in different ranges or subnets

set all your devices to, for eg, 192.168.1.1 - 192.168.1.225

if its a different router you've added, might possibly be setting ips such as 192.168.0.1 by dhcp and if your dm is static at 192.168.1.x it wont work

i have the same problem , im from cyprus too. And i cant think of anythinh that could fix this. Maybe its the particular modem. I have changed the private lan ip of both my dm500s and my modem, i have made it self-assinged, and still nothing. But if i keep rebooting both devices for like 1 hour somehow they get sychronized.
