Exclamation New user - Sound/Audio problem...

Hi, I purchased a eurovox max yesterday and the CBBC channel has no sound at all. The picture is fine and all the other channels work fine so I dont know what the problem is. Any ideas guys? Also when I did the scan I received 248 channels, is that about right for the Birmingham area? Thanks in advance kornoground

Try doin an autoscan m8, go into installation and press red button (autoscan) it will quickly rescan all your channels and should sort the sound prob out on cbbc, dont worry you wont lose any.248 channels sounds about right, some will be duplicated

I've manually sorted the channels to my liking so if I do an autoscan will I lose the order that I put the channels in? When I bought the box it didnt come with the rs232 cable so I'm going to purchase one from ebay and back up my channel listing with the dnupman proggy before I try anything. Is that ok?

no an autoscan wont affect your channel listing, everything will be as before apart from cbbc should be working.
Make sure you press autoscan and NOT powerscan.

Tried the autoscan and no luck. CBBC still has no audio. Anyone in the birmingham area having the same problem? Might do a full scan once i get my null modem cable and have backed up my channel listings.

Hi i live near to your area and im connected to birmingham. CBBC is working ok on mine . Right try this press the info button twice on your remote note down frequency it should be 123.00 now go into menu user installation were you will see all the channel frequency now scroll and find frequency 123.00 mine's number 2 on the list high light in blue press ok button a little tick will appear by the side. Now press the blue button manual scan the screen will go blank for short time then it will start to rescan that frequency only when its finished it will save the new dater see if that has sorted your sound out if not repost
