Help with cam

Due to illness and other factors I have been out of touch with satellite tv for a long time.My illness has meant that I am a bit slow learning at the moment so my apologies if I seem a tad stupid.
I have a diablo cam and programmer which have not been used for about a year,I have plugged into my pc and it is asking for a upgrade for 19 Euros.When I tried the upgrade it states I am not using the right studio suite but I have downloaded the new one from Duolabs.Is the upgrade essential and how do I do it.Do you still use Underworld or not.
Help for a old boy would be appreciated.

The upgrade is to turn the Diablo 2.3 into the newer Diablo 2 cam, you do not have to do this.

What model Cas programmer are you using?
What version of Cas Interface Studio are you running?

The new Diablo 2 cams, which is what the upgrade is for, uses Ipnosys files, the older 2.3 cams still use the Underworl files.

What are you trying to open with the cam?

I am using Cas Studio 9.3,and my programmer is the 3 plus.I would like to open anything I can,I have a 1.2 motorised dish,a Humax HDPVR,and a tripledragon(when I get my head round it again).I am also on the lookout for a new box as my receivers are getting a bit tired like me.

Just load the latest Diablo keys bin file, this should tell you what few channels are opening.

If looking for a new receiver why not have a word with Ian, from Southern Satellite, he should be able to advise you on what best suits your needs, and budget.

Unfortunately cams, and cards, open very little nowadays, you might want to consider connecting your receiver to the internet.

The triple dragon sounds familiar, but I can't remember anything about it, how old is this receiver?

Check the forum as others might own, have owned, one and found a use for it.

Struggling to find latest files,any idea what number underworld I should be looking for?

I think the last Underworld file was version 2.18, but this was only an update for reading cards, it doesn't really matter which Underworld file you load, as long as it is reasonably recent, as this will not aid much with opening channels.

Just google underworld218, no spaces, and you should find it, but you're better off searching for a latest diablo keys bin file, or updating one yourself.

Look for EMPB's latest diablo keys bin files but as I have said there are not a lot of channels opening using old cams, and cards.
