Default Starview 7 update - quick question

Please can anyone help with this: my box says 'not connected' since mid August. I must have installed the smgo software on it earlier in the year, but cannot remember which version. I understand how to contact SV and will do so; but do I still need to install smgo2.21 software again? If so, how do I open the '.rar' file? Hope this makes sense?
