I have to agree, they are fascinating but I do always wonder why do researchers refer to monuments as being "ceremonial", when quite clearly they do not have a clue what they are for. Why can they not just say they haven't a clue?
By the way I don't necessarily believe they were made for the benefit of aliens either (I don't know what they were made for).

Maybe 10,000 years from now archaeologists will find remains of our round paved garden patios, lido swimming pools, multistorey car parks etc etc and decree they were probably places where we worshiped gods or ceromonial places for sacrificial purposes.. A sky dish will be put in a museum and tagged as some ancient warriors battle shield..

well apparently we get wiped out next year according to doomsday prophecy.certainly coming to the minds of science now as they know something is going to happen.....

That is according to the Mayan prophecy, which has been widely misquoted for years. I can't remember the correct theory though.

I thought they suddenly stopped scribbling their calender of the future, so people today take that means the end of time... But maybe they just got bored with doing it...
