just bought box for my mate,mug,put jan software on it and scaned box tryed to update to april will not work any advice to were i could get software for april or why this is not working

In the kv section on here, look for the sticky and read them, everything you need will help you in their.

had a llok mate i have box myself had no problems with software in past bought today cant get it to work,found software for april and done factory rescan still not working any more help please own box no problems

There's a thread on this site, you can upload/download using the serial port connection. box to box. So what's on your box will be downloaded on to his.

tks for the info but had a look can other see the ones from pc or laptop cant find box to box help please at last resort i think box may be faulty

umm box cant be faulty if its coming on..

check system information for this..

Date: 24/04/2011
Software Ver: kryptview a780 pv3.8.00
H/W Version: V3.0.0

if this does not match up then you will need the software and loader from the download section

Download links.
next is to do a factory reset then scan under "network".

make sure you have the correct NetID before scanning.

Area net id required!

Tut on flashing!!

tks for useful info,still not solved problem spoke to who i boughht box from they will take back and update my software,but i have enought experice to no its not that,
i have used jan,april software scaned box with transfer box to box with factoery rescan,get all my channels but nothing works when i access,i put my own box in no problems works from same feed no hassle;
when i access updae,weatheer,traffic etc nothing happens cant find info,my own box picks up in secs.i scan from uddinston on my box tryed same and other areas with new box nothing
*** going with this info can the new box be having problems accessing server,it picks all the channels up but thats nothing,tryed in different room still same, i dont fully aunderstand the area id change,but my own box is fine
i will not post anything else after this if someone in the no could confirm,maybe problem with box
